Mike Brown managed to squeak out a decision victory last night against Urijah Faber in their five round championship rematch. The action was packed with good strikes, takedowns, slams and kicks but it wasn’t enough for the California Kid.  It’s becoming more common now-a-days in MMA where certain fighters come across an opponent that they just cant beat.  Obvious examples include the following, Rich Franklin / Anderson Silva, Chuck Liddell / Rampage Jackson and now Urijah Faber and Mike Brown. Although all these pairings are guaranteed to impress fans, the outcomes at this point are mutually agreed that Liddell, Franklin and Faber have found the unicorns that they will never catch! Former trainer and friend of Quinton rampage Jackson Juantio Ibarra has filed a law suit against former UFC competitor Tito Ortiz. Let me guess… Tito is running his mouth again? I guess so, according to sources from TMZ.com Ibarra will be suing Ortiz for defamation, invasion of privacy and emotional distress.  This may be one of the reasons Jackson has made the move to the UK to train with his fellow mates at the Wolfslair MMA Academy.

 

On the topic of American natives going over seas to train with members from the UK, (which is great by the way cause the sport is evolving beautifully).  Marcus Davis, is he American on Irish? Ask Dan Hardy how he feels and I’m sure his words will defer from Davis’ whose website apparently looks like a St. Patrick’s Day gift shop explosion.  For anyone who isn’t caught up with the action between Hardy and Davis, here’s a sneak peak of the bad blood brewing between the two...
