ODDS & ENDS – Kimbo Is Back, Silva Vs. Silva, What About NFL Players?
Thursday, 04 June 2009 03:58

What do former NFL players, Marcus Jones, Matt Mitrione, Brendan Schaub and Wes Shivers have in common?  The obvious answer is that they are all former NFL players!

Speaking of commonality, what do Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and “Sugar” Rashad Evans have in common?  Their hate for one another far exceeds sportsmanship…and of course they are set to host the tenth instalment of The Ultimate Fighter.

Which by the way, many predict will draw in the largest viewer ship in the history of the shows existence…but probably not because of the feud between the coaches…rather because of the recent news that UFC President Dana White just signed on Kimbo Slice to participate in the festivities…speaking of which…does anyone really know why Marcus Davis and Dan Hardy got into it with one another at the latest UFC conference call…???

I’m predicting another altercation…Kimbo Slice goes backyard on Rampage, Evans or Dana White….ratings will go through the roof…speaking of which…Michael “The Count” Bisping’s earnings should do just that after news of his brand spanking new 8 fight deal with the UFC…anyone ever figure that the UFC acronym rearranged could actually say FUC?

Probably the choice of words between many these days inside the Octagon…Davis and Hardy…Silva and Silva (Wanderlei and Anderson of course)…Evans and Jackson…Kimbo and Dana…Joe Riggs and Phil Baroni…after Riggs stated that Baroni is probably “pharmaceutically enhanced…”

The sport of mixed martial arts and in particular the UFC is set to enhance their market dominance after positive word came back from a New York bill that would see MMA legalized in possibly the worlds greatest sporting market…BIG money…

Big money is exactly what Affliction could be looking to dish out to current WAMMA champion Fedor Emelianenko after his upcoming fight to “number 1” contender Josh Barnett…Fedor will be fighting the last fight of his contract and will more than likely request substantially more from the clothing company should he get past Barnett…

Oh ya…and in case you still cared…they will all be heavyweight participants in the upcoming Ultimate Fighter Season 10…the NFL football players that is….
